By late 2025, the Trans-Guinean Railway—stretching from the world-class Simandou iron ore mine to the Port of Morebaya—officially entered its trial operation phase.
This 650km artery, constructed over four years, unlocks the world’s largest untapped high-grade iron ore deposit, poised to reshape the global commodities market. Behind this monumental engineering feat lies the relentless power of over 1,300 SHACMAN heavy-duty trucks, working day and night to bridge the inland mines with the Atlantic coast.

The First Large-Scale Deployment of the Super Dump Truck
The Trans-Guinean Railway project marks the first large-scale application of the SHACMAN F3000 Dump Truck Super Edition, which has delivered outstanding operational performance.
Located in West Africa, Guinea has a typical tropical monsoon climate. During the rainy season, coastal precipitation exceeds 4,000mm, requiring extreme tire grip, mud-stuck recovery, and chassis anti-corrosion capabilities. In the dry season, temperatures stay above 30°C, and the dusty mining environment poses a severe challenge to air intake filtration and cooling systems. The F3000 Super Edition is purpose-built for these extremes.

For unpaved mining roads, the Super Edition vehicle features comprehensive protection upgrades from the front bumper and fuel tank to the taillights. The ground clearance has been significantly increased through optimized chassis layouts, ensuring higher passability. To handle both humidity and dust, sealing is enhanced via new-structure weatherstripping, enclosed alternators, and dust/rust-proof nuts, improving reliability in extreme conditions.

A Versatile Fleet & Unwavering Service
In addition to dump trucks, SHACMAN tractor units have played a pivotal role in the project. Various F3000 6×4 tractors were deployed, covering multiple horsepower ratings and applications:
●380 HP models: Primarily for container logistics.
●400 HP models: Specialized in transporting sleepers and other railway materials.
●430 HP models: Dedicated to heavy-duty hauling of bridge components.
Furthermore, SHACMAN truck-mounted cranes contributed significantly to the relocation of heavy engineering equipment.
The stable operation of over 1,000 SHACMAN trucks, each fulfilling its specific duty, tests both product reliability and after-sales service. To support the large-scale and high-intensity demands of the Trans-Guinean Railway, SHACMAN dispatched over ten service engineers to provide 24/7 on-site support. These specialists, most of whom have been stationed on-site for over three years, are dedicated to resolving all technical issues. Furthermore, SHACMAN’s well-established local service network and spare parts warehouse empower seamless vehicle repair and maintenance.

During the Trans-Guinean Railway trial operation event, an on-site manager told the SHACMAN service engineers with great emotion: “Your trucks are rugged and reliable, and your service response is incredibly timely. On behalf of Simandou, I thank you all.”
