Recently, the launch event for the SHACMAN X5000e electric heavy-duty truck was held in Kathmandu, Nepal. Under the theme of “A New Leap Forward for Electric Drive”, more than 200 guests from dealers, customers and the media attended the event to witness SHACMAN electric heavy-duty trucks officially entering the Nepalese market. An authorization signing and unveiling ceremony was held on site, officially making the local partner an authorized SHACMAN dealer in Nepal. The two sides will work together to develop the local electric commercial vehicle market.

Nepal is endowed with abundant hydropower resources, and the electrification of heavy-duty trucks is an established trend. The X5000e has been localized for Nepal’s mountainous terrain, steep slopes and heavy-load conditions. The vehicle features a market-proven chassis and a complete three-electric system, supports fast charging and comes with an intelligent fleet management system. An 8-year warranty for the battery and a 5-year warranty for the motor and controller help ease users’ operation and maintenance pressure. Under full-load mountain-road conditions, the dumper achieves an average energy consumption of around 1.7–1.8 kWh per kilometre on a round trip; combined with regenerative braking, it delivers substantial operating cost savings compared with diesel heavy-duty trucks.

In the highlight of the event, the X5000eelectric heavy-duty truck was officially unveiled, withguests inspecting and experiencing the vehicle on site.

Targeting scenarios such as mining, construction and logistics, SHACMAN will provide full-scenario new-energy heavy-duty truck solutions for the Nepalese market, while building a local spare-parts network, delivering technical training and advancing joint marketing. Riding on Nepal’s green-transition momentum, SHACMAN will continue to introduce more electric products to support the green upgrading of the local transportation industry.
