On August 29, the 28th Chengdu International Automobile Exhibition kicked off grandly. With the theme “AI Transforms the World,” XPeng Motors made an appearance with an all-star lineup including the all-new XPeng P7, XPeng G7, 2025 XPeng X9, XPeng MONA M03, and the new-generation humanoid robot IRON, fully demonstrating its cutting-edge achievements in the field of AI technology.
XPeng Motors’ booth is located at H1106 in Hall 11. It not only showcases a variety of AI-enabled vehicles and AI humanoid robots, but also features multiple core technology exhibition areas, focusing on presenting hard-core technologies such as XPeng Turing AI Autonomous Driving, XPeng Turing AI Chip, XPeng Bulletproof Battery Pack, and 5C Ultra-Fast Charging—highlighting the brand’s profound accumulation in the fields of intelligentization and electrification.
On the first day of the auto show, the all-new XPeng P7 started its first batch of deliveries in Chengdu at Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street. The scene was bustling with popularity, confirming the strong market appeal of this blockbuster sports sedan.
A Strong Product Cycle Kicks Off, with Sustained Enhancement of Self-Financing Capability
In August 2025, XPeng Motors will mark its 11th anniversary. With the theme “AI Transforms the World,” XPeng’s press conference at this auto show is highly aligned with the exhibition’s concept of “Leading the Trend, Moving Toward Innovation,” demonstrating its strong development momentum driven by AI technological innovation.
Multiple core metrics in XPeng Motors’ Q2 financial report hit historical highs: revenue reached 18.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 125.3%; quarterly deliveries totaled 103,181 units, a year-on-year growth of 241.6%; the company’s gross profit margin rose to 17.3%; and cash reserves increased to 47.57 billion yuan, reaching an all-time high. Economies of scale and operational optimization have boosted the continuous enhancement of commercial capabilities, which in turn supports R&D investment. Q2 R&D expenditure reached 2.21 billion yuan, providing strong support for product iteration and technological upgrading.
In the first half of the year, XPeng Motors launched five facelifted models: the 2025 XPeng G6, 2025 XPeng G9, 2025 XPeng X9, XPeng MONA M03 Max, and XPeng P7+ Extra-Long Range Max Flagship Edition. These facelifted models alone drove Q2 deliveries to a historical high. Among them, the XPeng G6 and XPeng G9 have won domestic segment sales championships multiple times and have long led overseas markets; the XPeng X9 has remained the top-selling high-end pure electric MPV for two consecutive months and has repeatedly topped the sales charts in Hong Kong, China and Thailand; the XPeng MONA M03, which marked its first anniversary since launch, has accumulated over 160,000 deliveries and achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 10,000 units for 11 consecutive months, continuously refreshing the delivery record for pure electric A-class sedans.
In the second half of the year, XPeng Motors plans to launch a number of new products. Among them, the XPeng G7, an “AI Intelligent Family SUV” launched in July, has won market recognition with its cutting-edge technology and spatial comfort. Its deliveries have now exceeded 10,000 units, and it has ranked first in sales in its class for four consecutive weeks. The XPeng G7 VLA large model is currently in the gray-scale testing phase and is expected to be rolled out to vehicles in the near future. The all-new XPeng P7, a “Future AI Luxury Sports Sedan,” was also officially launched on August 27, available in four variants: 702 Long-Range Ultra, 820 Extra-Long Range Ultra, 750 4WD High-Performance Ultra, and 750 4WD Gull-Wing Ultra, with official prices ranging from 219,800 yuan to 301,800 yuan. With its extreme wide-body low-slung design and all-round intelligent AI, it redefines the next generation of AI luxury pure electric sports sedans. In Q4, the XPeng X9, the first model under the Kunpeng Super Electric platform, will be officially launched, kicking off XPeng’s product cycle featuring “dual energy options in one vehicle.” He Xiaopeng stated at the Q2 earnings conference: “Starting from September, the company’s monthly deliveries will steadily exceed 40,000 units.”
This August, the technological strategic cooperation between XPeng Motors and Volkswagen Group was further upgraded—these two “technological idealists” launched their fourth collaboration in three years. The industry-leading electrical and electronic (E/E) architecture jointly developed by the two parties will not only be integrated into Volkswagen’s pure electric vehicle platforms in the Chinese market, but also deployed in Volkswagen’s fuel and plug-in hybrid vehicle platforms in China, expanding their technological strategic cooperation to a broader market.
All-New XPeng P7 Becomes a Bestseller Upon Launch, with First Deliveries Officially Initiated
The all-new XPeng P7 inherits the spirit of “daring to be the first.” It not only boasts a technologically stylish original design, but also offers a driving experience comparable to million-yuan-level sports sedans, the “858” leading three-electric system, and all-round AI technology—establishing itself as a new benchmark in the intelligent pure electric sports sedan market under 300,000 yuan. Within 7 minutes of its launch, the number of pre-orders (with a substantial deposit) exceeded 10,000 units. On the first day of the auto show, a delivery ceremony for the all-new XPeng P7 was held at Chunxi Road in Chengdu, inviting “Peng Friends” (XPeng’s user community nickname) to visit offline and create “viral photos.”
The new model reshapes the aesthetics of intelligent sports sedans with its extreme original design. It features a supercar-level golden body ratio—1.40 width-to-height ratio, 3.57 length-to-height ratio, and 0.52 wheel-to-height ratio—creating a luxurious and muscular sporty temperament. It also debuts globally with an integrated flat light-up logo, the only floating license plate holder in its class, and an active lifting electric rear wing, balancing aesthetics and performance. The interior is equipped with a 3-axis flexible screen, Touch Pad, 3-spoke sports steering wheel, and integrated sports seats, combining an immersive intelligent interactive experience with sports handling. The newly launched 4WD Gull-Wing Ultra variant, with its exclusive gull-wing door design, co-pilot zero-gravity seat, and high-end customized materials, further interprets a new style of sports luxury.
Intelligence and performance are also fully enhanced. The all-new XPeng P7 is equipped with three Turing AI chips as standard across the entire lineup, delivering an effective computing power of 2250 TOPS—ranking first globally—which can efficiently drive local VLA + VLM large models. Based on the Turing AI chips, the scale of on-board models will increase by an order of magnitude to billions of parameters, and the operating frame rate of the VLA large model will be more than twice that of its peers. This truly achieves “a smarter brain and more agile response,” bringing better experience and safety. In addition, the new model adopts a supercar-level mid-mounted electric drive layout, with a front-rear weight distribution close to 50:50 for better stability and controllability; it is equipped with front all-aluminum double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension, and all variants come standard with dual-chamber air springs and intelligent variable damping shock absorbers, balancing comfortable luxury and sports handling.
Moreover, the all-new XPeng P7 is the first to be equipped with the “858” high-performance battery pack. Relying on the full-domain 800V platform + 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery, it supports 525km of range replenishment in 10 minutes and a maximum CLTC range of 820km.
All-Scenario AI Technology Ecosystem, Sustained Innovation Leading Industry Transformation
XPeng Motors continues to make breakthroughs in the fields of active safety, three-electric systems, and intelligent assisted driving.
In terms of active safety, the all-new XPeng P7 is the first in the world to launch AES (Automatic Emergency Steering) for slippery roads. It can fully respond to emergency steering and avoidance needs on various road surfaces (high, medium, and low adhesion) and is currently the only AES in the industry that can handle low-adhesion roads (adhesion coefficient 0.2-0.4). In scenarios such as highway construction sections, icy and snowy conditions, and slippery roads, XPeng’s AES for slippery roads can achieve automatic emergency steering avoidance at speeds of 80-130km/h, placing it in the first tier of the industry.
In terms of three-electric systems and performance, XPeng Motors continues to break industry ceilings through independent R&D. Witnessed by authoritative institutions, the all-new XPeng P7 completed the “24-Hour Extreme Endurance Test,” covering a total distance of 3,961 kilometers—setting an industry record and establishing a new benchmark for leading three-electric performance in the industry. At the Zhejiang International Circuit, the all-new XPeng P7 set a new record for “the fastest pure electric sports sedan under 500,000 yuan” with a lap time of 1:38.767, demonstrating its strength with the motto “Fast because of stability” and earning the title of “the king of corners among domestic pure electric sports sedans under 500,000 yuan.”
In terms of intelligent assisted driving, XPeng Motors adheres to full-stack independent R&D of core software and hardware technologies. Ten years of persistence have enabled XPeng Motors to be driven by AI, layout a panoramic AI technology ecosystem, jointly develop and cross-domain integrate high-computing-power AI chips with physical world large models, and achieve rapid iteration through massive data and an automated infra system—building a super intelligent agent for the physical world. Currently, XPeng’s self-developed Turing AI chips have been first installed in the XPeng G7 Ultra and all-new XPeng P7 Ultra models. While multiple models are selling well domestically, XPeng Motors’ overseas business is growing at an accelerated pace. From January to July 2025, XPeng’s cumulative overseas deliveries reached 21,701 units, a year-on-year increase of 174%, and its business footprint now covers 46 countries and regions worldwide.
