BYD Officially Enters Egypt, Introducing Electric and DM-i Mobility Solutions

On February 4th, BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, has officially entered the Egyptian market in partnership with Mansour Group, introducing three models to local consumers: the BYD Dolphin Surf, BYD SEALION 6 EV, and BYD SEALION 6 DM-i.

The launch event was held at Egypt’s first BYD Technology Center in Sheikh Zayed, marking a significant milestone in the development of the country’s electric and hybrid vehicle sector. The exclusive event welcomed more than 250 guests, including selected media representatives and specialized content creators, who experienced BYD’s latest technologies through immersive and interactive demonstrations beyond traditional static displays.

During the event, BYD presented a diversified product lineup designed to meet everyday mobility needs. The BYD Dolphin Surf, a compact electric city car with a WLTP rated range of 300 km, offers an economical solution for urban commuting. The BYD SEALION 6 EV, a fully electric SUV, combines performance, comfort, and intelligent technology, delivering a driving range of 420 km and comprehensive advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Meanwhile, the BYD SEALION 6 DM-i features BYD’s DM-i super hybrid technology, achieving a total driving range of up to 1,000 km, providing long-distance capability while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.

With its entry into Egypt, BYD has now established a presence in 30 countries and regions across the Middle East and Africa, actively supporting the region’s green transformation. Looking ahead, BYD will continue to strengthen cooperation with its partners to further expand its footprint in the Middle East and Africa, offering a broader range of sustainable mobility solutions and contributing to the transition toward low-carbon transportation.
