BYD Launches the ATTO 8 in the GCC Region

Recently, BYD’s all-new large seven-seat plug-in hybrid SUV – BYD ATTO 8 was officially launched in Saudi Arabia,Oman,Kuwait and Qatar, and will soon be launched in UAE and Bahrain. The BYD ATTO 8 is available in two versions—DM-i and DM-p, and also features Google Built-in, providing families in the GCC region with enhanced options.

The BYD ATTO 8 is over 5 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2,950mm, providing a spacious interior for a relaxed and comfortable driving experience. Both versions are equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM Super Hybrid Technology. The DM-i version boasts a low fuel consumption and a combined range of 728km, effectively alleviating range anxiety for long family trips. The DM-p version has a combined maximum power output of 359kW and is equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent body control system, allowing it to handle complex road condition easily and meeting users’ expectations for dynamic performance.

AD Huang, General Manager of BYD Middle East and Africa, stated, “As a large 7-seat SUV, BYD ATTO 8 is equipped with advanced super hybrid technology and intelligent configurations, capable of handling long-distance travel and various road conditions with ease. It will bring a comfortable and reassuring driving experience to families in the Gulf region.”

To date, BYD has introduced a total of nine models to the GCC region, including five plug-in hybrids and four pure electric vehicles. In the future, BYD will deepen its close cooperation with partners in the GCC region, continue to provide GCC consumers with more environmental friendly transportation options, and contribute to establish a sustainable mobility ecosystem in the region.
