Recently, production equipment installation, commissioning and deployment have kicked off at GAC Govy’s flying car manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, with trial production scheduled to officially commence next month.
The Guangzhou plant is divided into several workshops including final assembly, sub-assembly, composite material manufacturing and painting. It will support the pilot production of GAC Gaoyu’s multi-rotor flying car, the GOVY AirCab (GAC-A6), as well as work related to the certification of its production license.
To date, nearly 2,000 customer orders have been secured for the GOVY AirCab. The aircraft is currently undergoing comprehensive airworthiness certification, with the approval expected to be obtained by the end of 2026, when deliveries will begin.
The first batch of airworthy models will also roll off the production line at this newly built Guangzhou plant.
